Starting in the 1950s, the duo built the group whose main businesses include Formosa Plastics, Nan Yan Plastics and Formosa Chemicals. However, Wang’s fortune has slipped over the past year due to a limited industry rebound from the global downturn. Currently retired, Wang has no management oversight of the above mentioned major companies of the group.
