He fulfilled his military service at the Amphibious Battalion at Vaxholm’s Coast Artillery Regiment in 2000 and later became midshipman followed by sub-lieutenant in 2004 in the Swedish Navy. He later attended the Swedish National Defense College. Philip married Sofia Hellqvist in 2015.
