He won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1994 and was a First All-Star Team member in 2003, 2004, and 2007. He won the Vezina Trophy in 2003, 2004, 2007, and 2008, and the Williams M. Jennings Trophy in 1997, 1998, 2003, 2004, and 2010. Martin won an ESPY Awards for Outstanding Performance Under Pressure in 1996. As of April 2014 he holds records in many categories including most regular season wins, most regular season shutouts, most playoff shutouts, most overtime wins, most career saves, most games played by an NHL goaltender, and most career goals by a goaltender. He is the only goalie to ever reach 600 career wins and to score a game-winning goal. Competing internationally for Canada Brodeur has won Gold medals at the 2002 and 2010 Olympic Games. Martin’s son Anthony Brodeur is a prospect for the Devils.
