Janie Fricke released the album Black and White in 1986 which reached #1 on the US Country chart. She has released more than 20 studio albums. She has had several #1 songs on the US or Canadian Country charts including “Pride”, “I’ll Need Someone to Hold Me (When I Cry)”, “Don’t Worry ‘bout Me Baby”, “It Ain’t Easy Bein’ Easy”, “He’s a Heartache (Looking for a Place to Happen)”, “Tell Me a Lie”, “Let’s Stop Talkin’ About It”, “Your Heart’s Not in It”, and “Always Have, Always Will”. Fricke won Country Music Association Awards for Female Vocalist of the year in 1982 and 1983.
