Cassper started rapping at 12 years old. In 2004 he joined the group Childhood Gangsters before he joined the group Slow Motion. In 2015 he confirmed that he is dating actress Boitumelo Thulo. Cassper Nyovest has won seven South African Hip Hop Awards, Metro FM Awards, three Channel O Music Video Awards, and a South African Music Award.
