He won bronze medals at the 2015 Beijing World Championships in both the 100 meters and 4 x 100-meter relay. Andre De Grasse also won gold medals at the 2017 Nassau World Relay Championships in the 4 x 200-meter relay. In 2013 he won a silver in the 100 meters and a bronze in the 200 meters at the Pan American Junior Championships in Medellin. He set a Canadian record for 200 meters and became the first Canadian sprinter to win three medals at a single Olympics.
